How will you be graded on the work you complete for this course?
The course work for World History A is mastery-based, which means you have to demonstrate through your work that you understand and have mastered the standards, concepts, and information presented in each session. Your work will be graded on a scale of A, B or C.
- If you have mastered the material you will receive a C grade. In order to earn a C you have demonstrated adequate knowledge of the material.
- In order to receive a B, not only have you demonstrated adequate knowledge of the material, but your presentation of this knowledge is above average.
- In order to receive an A, you must demonstrate superior knowledge of the course material, and is reflected in your presentation.
- IMPORTANT! If you turn in assignments that show that you haven't mastered the material with at least a C, the course instructor will return the assignment to you with suggestions as to what you need to do to demonstrate mastery. Make the necessary changes or additions, then resubmit your work.
