Submitting Assignments

Click HERE for the course Assignment Log. See below for instructions on submitting assignments through email. Otherwise, use your Schoology account to submit assignments attached to a message to your course instructor.

 

Communication for this course will be primarily through your gmail account. You are expected to check your email daily.

When you send an email the instructor will respond in 24 to 48 hours. Please be patient.

If you need a response before that time, please see your instructor during class.

Assignments will be submitted through Google Documents, a free Google application.

 

    Tip for Success

Gmail

You will need to create a Gmail account if you haven't done so yet, in order to submit assignments, receive announcements, and to contact the course instructor outside of the classroom.
Your Brady Gmail account should be used only for school-related communications.


Use this format:

Username: first.last.brady@gmail.com

Password: "bxs" followed by your student ID number

Example:    jane.doe.brady@gmail.com
                   bxs00055

 

 
Once you have created your new Gmail account, follow these instructions.
  • Click on Show Me My Account
  • From your Gmail page, click Compose Mail and send a message to the course instructor introducing yourself including
    • your full name
    • a telephone number where you can be contacted. Please indicate if it is a cell phone or home phone and if you are able to receive free text messages on your cell phone from your instructor



 

  

 

 

 

From your Gmail Inbox, click on Documents at the top of the page.

This opens Google Docs in a new window.

Follow the instructions to Create a New Google Docs account.

 

To create a new document:

  • Click the Create New button at the upper left of the page
  • Select Document from the drop down menu
From here you can write assignments or paste Word documents. When you are finished writing your document, click the Save Now button. Notice your documents are also saved automatically every few seconds.

In order to submit a document as an assignment

  • click the Share button at the upper right of the page
  • select Sharing Settings from the drop down menu
  • in the Add People window, enter the complete Gmail address of the course instructor
  • select Can Edit to the right of this window
  • check the boxes labeled Send a copy to myself and Send email notifications.
