Ancient China
In this session you will learn about important periods in ancient China. Powerful dynasties ruled China for over a thousand years. One of the greatest of these dynasties was the Han Dynasty. The Han period spanned over four centuries, roughly from 200 BCE to 200 CE. This period of Chinese history is considered by many historians to be the "Golden Age" of China. To this day, China's majority ethnic group refers to itself as the "Han people."
