Timeline Requirements

Your timeline MUST include these elements:

Three Items for each Session

Item One:

  • An image representing the civilization or event you are studying in the unit/session.
  • A brief (ten words or less) description of the picture you have chosen to represent the civilization or event.
  • An explanation of why you chose this image to represent this civilization or event.

Item Two:

  • You must choose ONE of the following: an invention, innovation, creation, event, person, idea, concept, theme, or development that came from the civilization or clash of cultures you are studying in the unit, that YOU feel to be the MOST SIGNIFICANT.
  • An image representing the invention, innovation or creation, etc. that you have chosen.
  • A brief description of the innovation, creation, etc. (ten words or less)
  • A detailed description of the innovation, creation, idea, etc. This should be one paragraph in length and should include answers to the questions: What is this thing, who made it, why was it made, why did it happen, when did this person live, what did this person accomplish, how was this thing accomplished, etc.
  • A detailed explanation including answers to these questions: Why did you choose this thing? Whay was this so significant? How would things have been different if this thing/person/event had not happened? What was the IMPACT of this thing on civilization, either the civilization covered in this unit or subsequent civilizations, including our own modern civilization?
