Assignment 1.1.A
Use the Vocabulary Graphic Organizer to define these vocabulary words for this session:
- In the space labeled WORDS/PARTS of SPEECH write the words.
- In the space labeled DEFINITIONS, first write a definition of each word you have obtained from the textbook glossary or from an online dictionary. Then, write a SECOND definition for each word USING YOUR OWN WORDS.
- In the space labeled DRAWINGS, either paste in a picture you have found online which represents the word, use drawing software, or print out and hand-draw a picture representing the word .
- In the space labeled SENTENCES, use the vocabulary words in complete sentences. Each sentence must demonstrate that you understand the meaning of the word. (for example, "The United States is a democracy." DOES NOT indicate an understanding of the word democracy. The sentence "In a democracy, people can vote for their leaders." DOES indicate understanding.)
